It's been a busy few days getting my studio back into a functional state, but I'm finally ready to dive back into work. Today, I want to give you a little update on what's been happening and show you around my newly organised workspace.
So, first things first, I've been tackling my to-do list like a champ. One of the big tasks was setting up my thermal label printer and getting eco-friendly packaging bags for my orders. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while, and I'm thrilled to have it sorted out now. Plus, it's a step in the right direction for making my business more sustainable!
Next up, I had some orders to fulfill, including making three headbands to ship out today. It's been a bit of a challenge finding everything I need in my newly arranged space, but I'm slowly but surely getting there. You know how it is—moving always comes with its fair share of surprises, like misplaced cables and lost sewing machine feet!
Speaking of which, I had a bit of a panic when I couldn't find the plug for my sewing machine. But thanks to some teamwork with my partner, Kurtis, we managed to locate it tucked away in a box high above the wardrobe. Turns out, Peppa, our bunny, had a nibble on the cable—definitely not ideal, but some electrical tape did the trick for now!
And just when I thought I had everything sorted, I realised I was missing the cable for my printer too. But fear not, a quick trip to JB Hi-Fi solved that problem, and now both my sewing machine and printer are up and running smoothly.
I've also been making some adjustments to my workspace, like using sticky command strips to organise my power cords and finding ways to optimise my setup for efficiency. It's all about finding those little hacks to make life easier, right?
As the afternoon draws to a close, I'm feeling pretty good about where things are at. Sure, there's still some fine-tuning to do, but I'm excited to be back in the swing of things and ready to tackle whatever comes my way.
